What This Thing Is

Chris, everyone in your league will draft off the same ESPN default list. That is the flaw we exploit. The War Room does not just rank players; it tells you when to take them. Rankings are free. Timing is the edge.

Coach Tommy says: "Winners prepare. Losers explain. You are holding the preparation. Go make everyone else explain."

Read the Board: Every Column, Decoded

PLAYER
Name, team, position badge, and pos# (his rank within his position by market). Red text like "Questionable" is a live injury tag from the data feed. A ▼ CLIFF marker means he is the last man in his tier; more on that below.
MKT
Market rank: where the crowd drafts him (Sleeper market data, or ADP from your imported CSV). This is his price, not his worth. The whole game is finding where price and worth disagree.
PROJ
Projected season points under this league's exact scoring. The live load attaches Sleeper's season stat projections automatically when they are published; a FantasyPros CSV swaps in expert stat lines; if neither is available the engine falls back to labeled model estimates. The banner always tells you which mode you are in. Raw fuel for VAL; you rarely act on PROJ alone.
VAL
Points over a replacement-level player at the same position. The real currency. A QB projecting 385 can carry less VAL than a RB projecting 300 because free-agent QBs grow on trees and startable RBs do not. Sort by VAL between picks to see the true shape of the board.
TIER
Value clusters within a position, T1 down. Players inside a tier are near-interchangeable; the gaps between tiers are where drafts are won. The dashed amber ▼ CLIFF row is the last man before a drop: take him or accept the tier below.
SURV%
The odds he is still on the board at your next pick, modeled as a bell curve around his market rank that widens as the draft deepens. Green (70%+) means relax, he waits for you. Amber is a coin flip. Red means now or never. This is the timing engine.
NOW
The verdict: VAL times urgency (from SURV%) times your roster needs. The bar shows it relative to the rest of the board. On your pick, sort by NOW and take the top name unless you can say out loud why not.
TAKEN
The tracking button. Click it the second anyone drafts that player; the engine assigns the pick to the team on the clock and recalculates the entire board. Undo Pick fixes fat fingers.
Coach Tommy: How to Use the Playbook

First Visit (Five Minutes, Once)

1

Create your account. Hit Create Account on the login page with your email and a password. Everything you do saves to your account automatically and follows you between laptop and phone.

2

Load real players. Click Load Live Sleeper Data in the top banner. One click pulls the top 300 skill players and kickers with injury tags, all 32 team defenses, and Sleeper's season stat projections when available, scored under the exact league settings. Read the banner; it reports precisely what loaded. You do this once. Every sign-in after that, the green banner reads LIVE DATA RESTORED and your board is already loaded. If you ever see the amber DEMO banner after signing in, something failed; click Load Live Sleeper Data again and move on.

3

Eyeball the league config. Left panel: 12 teams, 16 rounds, snake, full PPR, 4-pt pass TDs, bench 7. It is preloaded to match L.O.L. Fantasy Football exactly. Verify, don't edit.

4

Check the Draft Order panel. All 12 L.O.L. teams are already in there, scouting tags included: "Petedog (AUTODRAFT)", "Lamario (QB early)". Type your own intel straight into any name field; the names are your notebook. If the panel ever shows generic Team 1-12, click the small L.O.L names link in the panel header and the real roster snaps back.

5

Optional override. Prefer FantasyPros' expert projections over Sleeper's? Export their PPR projections as a CSV and paste into Import Projections CSV. Heads up: a CSV replaces the whole board, players and projections both, so it is an either/or choice, not a merge. If the live load already shows "exact league scoring active," this step is insurance, not necessity.

The Weekend Dry Run

6

Practice like it's real. Hit TAKEN on the first 20 or so players to simulate the early rounds, and take two picks for yourself when your slot comes up. Watch SURV% fall, watch NOW reshuffle, trip the run detector on purpose, try Undo Pick. When you're done, click reset draft in the Pick Log header: picks clear, your players and team names stay put.

Coach Tommy says: "Draft day is for executing, not testing. If the first time you touch the buttons is with the clock running, you are the entertainment."

One Hour Before The Draft (Sixty Seconds of Work)

7

The order randomizes at 6 PM. The moment ESPN shows it, set Your draft slot to your position, then use the ↑ ↓ arrows beside each team name to slide the pre-loaded names into the real order, top pick first. No retyping. The tags travel with the names.

During The Draft

8

Track every pick. When anyone drafts, find the player (search box is fastest) and hit TAKEN. The engine assigns it to whoever is on the clock and recalculates everything. Fat-fingered one? Undo Pick.

9

On your pick, sort by NOW. Click the NOW column header. Top guy is your guy. The dashed amber ▼ CLIFF line marks the last player before a position falls off a ledge; if a cliff guy is available and the tier behind him is ugly, take him.

10

Watch Positional Runs. Bottom right. When it flashes a run warning, survival odds at that position are worse than the math shows. Adjust accordingly or profit from the panic at every other position.

11

Kickers and defenses go in rounds 15 and 16. Not round 8. Never round 8. If your hand starts drifting toward a kicker early, Coach Tommy sees you.

12

Punish the guilty. The amber Trash Talk button in the header holds all sixteen of the Coach's burns, filed by crime. Filter ("qb", "kicker", "timer"), hit COPY, paste in the group chat, close, back to drafting. Under ten seconds from offense to sentencing.

The Doctrine

The engine gives you a verdict every pick. This tab is why the verdict says what it says, so when the room melts down you keep shopping while they panic.

1

Value wins, need fills. For the first six rounds, take the biggest NOW even if it stacks a position. Two elite RBs beat one elite RB plus a reach. The roster-need multiplier inside NOW already nudges you when a hole actually matters; you never have to force it.

2

The two-pick rule. Before your turn, shortlist two targets and read their SURV%. If your favorite survives (green) and your second choice dies (red), take the second choice now and collect the favorite on the way back. That is a free player, and in a snake draft it happens twice a night.

3

Cliffs are buy signals, names are not. Reputation is priced into MKT; scarcity is not. When a ▼ CLIFF guy is available and the tier below him is ugly, a modest reach is correct. When a tier runs deep, wait; three near-identical players cannot all get sniped before pick #19.

The QB Heist

This league pays 4 points per passing TD and still drafted six QBs in the first three rounds last year. That is the single biggest edge on the board.

4

Let them reach. Every early QB is a top-15 RB or WR donated to whoever drafts behind it. Laura, Kell, Lamario, and the Mahomes team have already told you this is coming. Cheer it on.

5

Buy your QB where the VAL flattens. In this scoring, the weekly gap between QB5 and QB12 is small. Watch the QB tab: when the remaining starters sit high on SURV% and their VAL barely differs, that is your window, typically rounds 7-9 in this room. Spend the saved early picks on the RB/WR tiers everyone else vacated.

Coach Tommy says: "They are paying steakhouse prices for a position this league serves buffet-style. Eat."

Reading the Room

6

Pete is a crystal ball. Autodraft takes the top market-ranked player, every time. When Petedog picks right before you, the #1 MKT name is dead and everyone else survives. Fold that into the two-pick rule and you are drafting with tomorrow's newspaper.

7

Never chase a run. When the Positional Runs panel flashes, that position's true survival odds are worse than displayed, and every other position just went on sale. Either beat the run by one pick or let it pass and shop the discounts. Joining a run fourth is how reaches happen.

8

Getting sniped is information, not injury. When your guy goes one pick early, the board did not change; only your feelings did. Take the next name by NOW. If revenge is required, the Book of Burns has a protocol.

Bench Alchemy (Rounds 10-16)

9

Buy lottery tickets, not floor. Bench players either become starters or get cut, so draft paths to volume: handcuffs behind fragile starters, rookie WRs, escapees on new teams. The "safe" veteran with a 9-point ceiling is replacement level wearing a familiar name, and replacement level is free on waivers all season.

10

K and D/ST in rounds 15 and 16, then stream all year. This league burned a round-8 pick on a kicker last year. Every roster spot they torch early is an extra lottery ticket in your pocket. This alone is worth a win.

Platform Micro-Tactics

11

Search, TAKEN, next. The fastest tracking loop: type three letters of the name, click TAKEN, clear the box. Keep "hide drafted" checked so the board only ever shows live targets.

12

Position tabs during runs. One click isolates a position so you can see exactly how deep the surviving tier is before the run reaches you.

13

PICKS UNTIL YOU is your planning clock. The amber number in the header. At 5, start the two-pick rule. At 2, decide. At 0, sort by NOW and execute.

14

Belt and suspenders. Your account syncs live and the phone is a ready backup if the laptop dies. Feeling paranoid? Hit Export State before round 1 and pocket the JSON. The Coach respects paranoia.

The L.O.L. Scouting Report

Compiled from last year's full draft board. These people told us exactly who they are.

The whole league
Six QBs went in the first three rounds of a 4-point-pass-TD league last year. That is a market inefficiency wearing a jersey. Let them reach; feast on the elite RBs and WRs they leave behind, then grab your QB rounds later at a discount.
Hunt for Mahomes Pacheco
Named the team after the pick. Took Mahomes at 1.08 last year. This is not a tendency, it is a signed confession. Assume Mahomes and Pacheco are off your board.
Lamario
Same disease, different patient. Lamar in round 3 last year. If you want Lamar, you are outbidding a super fan. You do not want Lamar that badly.
Petedog
Autodrafts. He is a pure ADP robot, which makes him the most predictable manager in the league. When Pete is two picks ahead of you, you effectively see the future: the top-ranked available player is gone, everyone else survives.
Laura & Kell
QBs early, per your own intel. Tag their teams once you match names to rosters. Their early QB picks are free value donations to everyone drafting behind them.
The TE market
Bowers, McBride, Kittle, LaPorta, and Kelce were all gone by pick 4.05 last year. Elite TE costs league price, not ADP price. Either pay it early with eyes open or punt the position and ride the cliff indicator.
The K/DST panic
A kicker went in ROUND EIGHT last year. Multiple defenses in rounds 8 and 9. While they roster Week 1 cuts, you bank extra lottery-ticket bench picks. This alone is worth a win.

When someone drafts a QB in round 1 or 2
"Congratulations on spending a first-round pick on 4-point touchdowns. That is like paying valet prices to park a Corolla."

"Shocking development. The team named after Mahomes just drafted Mahomes. In other news, water is wet and your championship odds are not."
— Coach Tommy
When Lamario takes Lamar
"That is not a draft pick, that is a subscription renewal. Auto-pay is on and so is the disappointment."
— Coach Tommy
When Pete's autodraft makes a pick
"Pete's algorithm just outdrafted three of you and Pete is currently lining up a 6-foot putt. Think about what that says about your preparation."
— Coach Tommy
When someone drafts a kicker before round 14
"A kicker in round 8. Bold. That is paying retail for a lottery ticket the gas station hands out free with a fill-up."
— Coach Tommy
When someone drafts a defense early
"Drafting a D/ST in round 8 is showing up to the tailgate at 6 AM to save parking spots. Technically preparation. Mostly just sad."
— Coach Tommy
When someone drafts last year's hero
"Somebody tell him the points don't roll over. He is out here drafting a box score from 2025 like it is a savings bond."
— Coach Tommy
When someone drafts their favorite NFL team's guys
"That is not a fantasy roster, that is a season ticket package with extra steps. Root with your heart, draft with your spreadsheet."
— Coach Tommy
When someone reaches 3 rounds early
"He reached so far ESPN flagged it as a shoulder injury. Questionable to return with dignity."
— Coach Tommy
When someone drafts the TikTok hype rookie
"He drafts wherever the algorithm tells him. Last week the algorithm also told him to make butter in a mason jar. Same energy, same results."
— Coach Tommy
When someone stacks bye weeks
"Congratulations on scheduling your Week 9 forfeit in August. Most people wait for the season to lose; you pre-ordered it."
— Coach Tommy
When the timer runs out on someone
"Two full minutes on the clock and he used every second of it to panic. The timer made a better pick than he would have."

"Say nothing. Smile. Draft his handcuff out of pure spite and let him think about it for seventeen weeks."
— Coach Tommy
All-purpose closer, any occasion
"Great coaches don't make excuses. They make champions. You, my friend, appear to be making neither."
